This was exactly what Rich and Greg Komen wanted to achieve some twenty-seven years ago. They hired a Jerilyn Brusseau, a local food connoisseur, to help them with their mission of pioneering the "world's best cinnamon roll".
After three months of research, numerous kitchen experiments, plus several trips to Indonesia to find the most flavorful cinnamon, they were finally able to perfect the cinnamon roll recipe. And with that, the first Cinnabon bakery was opened to the public in December 1985, at the Sea Tac Mall in Seattle, Washington.
Cinnabon finally reached the Philippine shores in October 1999, with the Robinson's Place Manila being its very first branch. Canelle Food Corporation (CFC) is the exclusive Cinnabon franchise holder in the country. Interesting to know that CFC also holds the prestige of opening the very first Cinnabon bakery in Asia.
Cinnabon's patented motto, Life Needs Frosting®, is a great reminder for work-at-home, round-the-clock moms like me - that it's okay to take a break from the usual routine. It's okay to enjoy some me-time. It's okay to splurge and indulge every once in awhile, extra calories included.
Visit a Cinnabon branch near you!
If you're in the Philippines, you can find Cinnabon in these locations.

Interesting history on Cinnabon. Who knew! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI can't eat these anymore (something about a stick of butter in EACH one) but you know, every time I go by the Cinnabon I WANT one!! (notice the 2 year old type whine in my voice!)
ReplyDeleteI've passed it a million times in the airport and never stopped. My daughter loves cinnamon buns though, so next time her and I are together, I'm going to make it a point to give them a try.
