Tankless hot water heaters also give you the option to adjust the water heat settings. This comes very handy for households with young children and elderly family members where plumbing emergencies, and burns and scalding accidents can be a constant worry.
In addition, tankless units are smaller and more compact compared to traditional water heaters. This feature makes them easier to install (you can install them practically anywhere), and allows you to use multiple tankless units where you can divide your domestic hot water supply into two zones. For instance, one can be fed from the basement or first floor, where it’s a short distance to the kitchen. A second unit can be fed from the attic or a second-floor closet, where it’s just steps away from the bathrooms. As such, you can enjoy hot water at home in the most convenient and cost-effective manner.
I just hate our shower and heater at home. The water pressure is so weak for some reason despite us having a storing tank for water instead of having the water flow straight from the main pipes. In turn, when the water is weak, the heater wouldn't turn on or you can't take the shower head off from its holder or else it would go weaker.
ReplyDeleteWe use instant water heaters at home as it is more cost efficient then a tank water heater. Hot water is instant and not wasted.
ReplyDeleteTankless water heaters are still quite expensive where I live. We do plan to include one in our bathroom remodel in a few years. The kids can take cold showers -- but we can't. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhen our water heater dies completely, we are going to install a tankless water heater system in our house. The price has decreased on the tankless water heater, making them more affordable.
ReplyDeleteThis is such valuable information. You've provided a lot of insight here. I can't wait to take this and share what you've taught. You can't go wrong with spreading the word on being more cost-effective. Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome post! We are looking into this for our new home!
ReplyDeleteWe still have a traditional one in an older home, but I know these are great. Excellent review!
