But now that the little man is on semestral break, I have more time to sit in front of my laptop and try do this as much writing as I can. Take note of the key word 'try', haha. :)
And now that the days are colder, the nights are longer, and chapped lips are imminent, I'll be sharing with you my favorite lip balm brand - Evolution of Smooth, more popularly known as 'eos'.
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland. |
Back of the box. :) |
As you can see, there are three spheres included in this pack - each with different flavors. The blue one is Blueberry Potion, the pink one is Watermelon Wonderland, and the cream one is Sweet Vanilla Nonsense.
This set comes in a very cute packaging. The side panels are adorned with tiny Alice prints, and inside it gets even cuter. It's a mini-diorama of the Mad Hatter, with the quote 'Very few things indeed, were really impossible'. How's that for today's word of wisdom? :)
Now let's talk about the lip balms. They come in the ever-so-popular spheres, but in lieu of the little indentation on the side, these lip balms have Mickey ears instead. Even my little man recognized the design right away.
Twist off the top, and voila! You get these solid, egg-shaped balms that you simply smooth on to your lips.
These lip balms glide on like a dream, and they don't feel heavy or greasy on the lips. They are scented, yes, but the scent is mild and not overpowering. Best of all, they moisturize the lips, leaving it soft, smooth, and supple. No more chapping or cracking!
Little Alices all in a row. :) |

Definitely my HG lip balms. |
What I love:
- Super cute packaging.
- The product does as it claims - moisturizes, softens, heals chapped lips.
- Yummy scent/s that's not overpowering.
- Non-sticky, non-greasy.
- 100% natural, 95% organic.
- Paraben and petrolatum free.
- Not tested on animals.
What you might not like:
- Not available locally.
- It's a limited edition release, (plus it came out Fall of 2012)
so it's a bit difficult to find this set now.
- The spheres are a bit too bulky (but they're cute nonetheless, haha).
Have you tried these lip balms, or other EOS products? Which one is your favorite? :)
Oooh! I love these containers. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a uniquely shaped lip balm! Isn't it difficult to apply? Kind of hard to imagine I guess you roll them over your entire mouth area?
ReplyDeleteI have never tried this brand-it may not be in the US-but oh how I love those containers-they are adorable--what a perfect gift to give someone (or myself for that matter.)
ReplyDeleteI love EOS lip balms!!! As of now I have 2 flavors and my all time fave is the one in mint. I haven't purchased this set yet, laging out of stock kasi :(
ReplyDeleteHi Ro! It's easy to apply naman, yeah you roll it over your lips. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Miki! I actually got these from Target. :)
Hi April, yeah, this set is hard to find na. Last year pa kasi 'to. Had the chance to blog about it just now, lol.
Hi Lexie! Yup, they scream of cuteness!
This is my daughter's favorite lip balm. At first, I thought it was just because of the packaging so I made her buy it herself. But after several months of brand loyalty, I realized it really works better and that's why she stuck with it so now I fund our household supply.
ReplyDeleteI love that packaging! Alice in Wonderland is so popular right now because of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Maybe they will release this packaging again :)
ReplyDeleteNow that's different. those containers are kind of cute.
ReplyDeleteI have definitely experienced my share of blogging burnout. I've been blogging for about 13 years now and I can't tell you how many times I've thought that maybe I was just done and should walk away. I'm always glad that I didn't, but that doesn't stop me from worrying about my writing skills and passion for blogging the next time I feel really burnt out. It happens to the best of us, and I'm glad that you're taking the time you need for yourself instead of pushing yourself to write when you're really not feeling it. That's very wise and healthy and something you can be proud of. We always have to make sure we are taking care of ourselves, especially mentally, when we get into blogging.
ReplyDeleteThe EOS Alice in Wonderland lip balm collection looks awesome. The sphere design is so different and very fun and whimsical, just like Alice in Wonderland. I am a big Alice in Wonderland fan and love the attention to detail in the packaging. How very unfortunate that this collection came out in Fall 2012 and is difficult to find now, but thanks for the great review and introducing me to it.
Alice in Wonderland is sure gaining some new fans in the US because of the TV show.
ReplyDeleteChecked out Target not found-
so I popped onto Amazon and the collection is going for $99!!! WOW
because it was limited!
YOU GOT A GREAT DEAL! =D
Maybe as Christy said another collection will be released for 2013.
Great packaging - and love that it's all natural.
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is super duper cute! <3 I love to have EOS lipbalms but I still have a lot to finish first then I'll try this one :D
ReplyDeleteGusto ko sana siyang I try kaso sa sobrang dami kong lipbalm nanghihinayang ako magtatambak nanaman akesh!! lol!Pero eto ung kasama xmas wishlist ko hehehe
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flavor is Mint but Blueberry looks interesting, does it "taste" good? :)
ReplyDeleteparang may hidden mickey na nakaengrave :) hihih]
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, eos is one of the most unique packaging when it comes to lip balm, not your typical tube type.
Though I not really a fan of Eos kasi me iba silang scent na amoy car freshener. XD but nevertheless they are hydrating on the lips :)
I've tried one before, mint scent, though. It's nice nga! I got it more than a year ago, but I still have it. Haha. I go through lip balms very slowly.
