Meow! Cat Chu Wink Tony Tint! |
Old vs new. |
I also went for a different shade this time around. Instead of my usual #1 Cherry Pink, I chose #2 Red.
It's a vivid shade of red - almost blood-like, that looks quite intimidating when you look straight at the bottle. It comes with a doe-foot applicator that's rather flat in shape and has a rounded, not pointed, tip. I also noticed that this one has a mild rosy scent, whereas its predecessor had none. (In other words, the old one is unscented.)
Now here's how the product looks like when swatched on the skin.
It's a liquid tint so expect the formulation to be watery, but surprise! It's not runny, as you can see in the swatch above. The color is buildable, and the pigmentation is just crazy! And I mean that in a positive way. Just a few dots would be enough to produce a vibrant color on your lips or cheeks. A word of caution, though. This product dries pretty fast, so if you're planning to use it on your cheeks, be sure to blend as quickly as possible. Otherwise, you'll get red dots on your face, haha. :)
Here's how the Cat Chu Wink Tony Tint looks like when worn. The color on my cheeks lasted the entire day; on my lips it lasted for about four to five hours with a bit of eating and drinking.
- Cute packaging.
- Highly pigmented.
- Buildable color.
- Just a little goes a long way.
- Long-lasting.
- Can be used on the cheek and lips.
- Affordable price. (Php 248 for this 10ml bottle.)
What you might not like:
- It dries quickly, so you have to blend it as quickly as possible.
- If you're using this as a cheek tint, expect stains on your fingers.
And as promised, here's a quick tutorial on how to achieve the 'gradient lips'. Click on the image to enlarge!
At this point, I can still say that regardless of the new packaging and seemingly new formulation, Tony Moly's (as in this Cat Chu Wink Tony Tint) is still the best liquid blush for me. And it's also my favorite lip tint to work with when it comes to creating gradient lips!

1. Moisturize your lips with a lip balm. 2. Apply pink lipstick on the outer part of your lips. 3. Dot the lip tint on the center of your lips. 4. Smooth with a clear lip gloss. |

very nice lippy sis! i've been eye-ing to get from tomato but I guess we don't have it here in malaysia. sure is the packaging looks very pretty!
I liked the gradient lips tutorial :D Have always been wondering how they did that with the Tony Moly tint. I do like the Cherry Pink better for myself, though.
OMG! I miss using tints!! :D The only downside with these type of tints is pag tumatagal bumabaho siya :(
Suck a cutie packaging! <3 It's more appealing than the latter and I love how it gives a natural flush on your lips. Perfect for everyday use !
So trying that gradient lip color technique! And the packaging of the tint is so cuuuute! I have a boss who loves cats, I bet she'll buy this in a heartbeat! :D

Very cute bottle! I've never heard of liquid blush and had no idea you could use it on lips. It looks great on you, though!
I never really use tint on my cheeks, just my lips. I can never seem to get it to apply evenly on my cheeks! I've tried using my fingers and a stippling brush, but I guess I just need more practice.
This is too cute though and I always see it around! I think I'll give it a try!
I have this but I have not tried it as a blush! I tried doing the gradient technique you posted but I couldn't really achieve the desired effect LOL.
This has got to be the cutest lip gloss ever! Thanks for sharing your awesome technique! I've got to try that out! looks amazing!
I need to learn how to better apply makeup thanks for the tips
I still have the Tony Tint in the old packaging. Ang tagal maubos. This is my best liquid blush too.
Love the color. I never thought of doing gradient like that.
Very pretty shade! I cannot wear too many reds, but this might be perfect.
Thanks everyone! Glad you liked the tutorial! :)
It's been so long since I last used a lip and cheek tint! This seems really good though! The packaging looks sooooo cute, and that pigmentation is insane! <3
Will definitely check this out, and if magustuhan ko, I might use this regularly instead of separate blusher and lipstick. Would love to try that gradient lips effect too! <3
HA! Cute container, I would have never known that was blush! That color looks great on you!
Love cheek tints din before pero nagsawa na ko. I've tried this too and maganda. Na phase out na yung fave cheek tint ko which is mistine.
That shade is sure bloody!
I am someone who thinks who cannot apply lipstick that is why I am always on the lookout for easy to apply lip color. But since you said it dries really fast, maybe this one's not for me.
It looks good on you though.
I love the kitty head and the product's unique name! It looks good on you, too! -- Maria Teresa Figuerres
