This time around, I'm giving The Face Shop's Mild Bubble Hair Color a try. I got this for Php 345 (around $8 or 8000 Korean won) from Kkochi Pida, the same online store where I got my Etude House Minnie Kissing Lips.

Now here are the before and after shots of my hair.
From black... |
To somewhat medium brown. |
The orange is prominent at the tips. And yeah, my prescription lens are that thick. |
After rinsing the colored gunk off my hair, my initial reaction was, "Wow, this stuff doesn't dry my hair! It doesn't smell bad, either!" And then I looked at the bathroom mirror and went, "Oh my, it doesn't work!" Because from what I saw, my hair still looked black. Or so I thought.
The following morning, I was relieved to see that my hair color seemed to have lighten a bit. These 'after' photos were actually taken about 18 hours after my DIY project. And from what I've observed, it takes about 24-48 hours for the color to really 'pop'.
It's been two days since, and I'm happy to say that my hair has turned into a softer shade of brown with a hint of orange to it. :)
What I love:
- Easy to use (despite the Hangul instructions).
- Doesn't leave your hair stiff and dry.
- No overpowering chemical scent.
- Treatment cream smells really good, plus it makes the hair smooth and shiny.
- Affordable price.
- Several shades to choose from.
- It works! (After all, haha!)
What you might not like:
- Not available locally, methinks. (Because it's not available in TFS' branch here in my area.)

instant color!! i love it :) would love to try things like that after I give birth :D
At first I thought it was going to be bright orange! But then I was pleasantly surprised to see it is just a subtle change - looks great!
That looks like a great product and I do see the brown highlights. I know how hard it is to color black hair.

The brown color looks very nice on you. I'm too scared to color at home!
I have never heard of this type but sounds like something I would be interested in to use. Thanks for info.
You look so beautiful with any hair color. I have never used hair dye, and I plan to leave the gray natural when it comes out, so I guess I won't be doing it at all, but I do admire it in you!
This color looks great on you! I have been thinking about redoing my hair lately.
That's a chic hair colouring! My new fund friend is all for hair colour so I will recommend this as she is always in search for the, affordable
I've honestly only dyed my hair once in my life. So I couldn't relate to anything here but I know lots of people who might like it.
OMG! Love your new hair color sis!! bagay na bagay sayo! :)
I would love to try Bubble hair coloring too but most of the time, my application is uneven haha :D
Lighter hair color suits you. I wish this will be available here at TFS na.
I haven't tried bubble coloring but it looks easier to do, compared to the usual hair dying (or probably because you have short hair? ) :)
Nice that there is such a store that carries those products. Will check that out and will experiment with my hair. Hair coloring is a bit pricey in salons eh. :D
The change in color is very subtle indeed! Nonetheless, I've been curious to try out this product since my hair is already of a lighter tone, so, hopefully, this color will vibrantly show! Thank you for this post!

Your new hair color suits you. I hope I'll learn how to color my own hair, too. -- Maria Teresa Figuerres
This kind of hair coloring is so easy to use! I haven't tried it though! hehe. :)
Thanks for the compliments, everyone! xoxo :)
