Sometime last month, I received the
Novuhair® 3-in-1 Pack which contained a bottle of herbal shampoo, herbal conditioner, and topical scalp lotion. I will be featuring all three products today, together with a capsule review. But first, let me give you a quick rundown about the brand.

Novuhair 3-in-1 Pack. |
|
Nature's answer to hair loss. |
Introduced in the Philippines by Fanny Serrano, (yes,
THE Fanny Serrano, HMUA of the stars)
Novuhair® is '
nature's answer to hair loss'. Their products boast of natural herbs, essential oils, and active natural ingredients that are proven safe and can effectively address hair loss problems and other scalp disorders.
Novuhair® products are manufactured and distributed by
Nutramedica, Inc., a local pharmaceutical company that has been in business since 1998.
Moving forward, here's what's inside the the
Novuhair® 3-in-1 Pack.
First up is the
Herbal Shampoo, which is made of ingredients that stimulate hair growth and improve blood circulation to the scalp. These include moringa, aloe leaf, panax ginseng, and virgin coconut oil. It also contains rosemary, lavender, and lemongrass oil, which are known for their disinfecting properties that can alleviate itching and help prevent dandruff.
|
Novuhair Herbal Shampoo. |
This shampoo is formulated as such to prepare the scalp for the application of the
Topical Lotion. Effects are enhanced when both products are used together, and as a result, your scalp becomes healthier and your hair follicles stronger.
|
Product description, usage instructions, and ingredients. |
The shampoo is a brownish liquid with just the right consistency - not too thick, but not watery either. It lathers quite well, so just a little goes a long way. It has a strong, minty scent that's quite overwhelming. It's not pungent, but it's the kind of scent that sends a jolt to your olfactory senses, if you understand what I mean.
According to the
Novuhair® website, you can use this shampoo twice daily to get optimal results. I've been using this product once a day for the past three weeks, and I've noticed the added volume to my hair. At this rate, I think I'll be growing out my pixie cut faster than the usual. Lol.

Looks like caramel, haha. |
The
Herbal Conditioner, on the other hand, contains standardized herbal extracts which moisturize the hair to make it softer, shinier, and healthier. It contains sweet almond oil, a moisture-rich oil that contains a variety of vitamins and minerals that nourish the hair to make it stronger. It also contains ginger, which acts as a stimulant for hair growth. Like the herbal shampoo, this product also contains rosemary and lavender, that disinfect the scalp, relieve itching, and help prevent dandruff.
|
Novuhair Herbal Conditioner. |
This product is gentle enough for daily use, and works best when used together with the Herbal Shampoo and Topical Lotion.
|
Product description, usage instructions, and ingredients. |
True to its claim, the
Herbal Conditioner does make the hair soft and smooth. It smells a lot like the
Herbal Shampoo, though I find the scent of this one milder.
|
Creamy conditioner. :) |
Finally, there's the
Topical Scalp Lotion, which is made with a unique combination of herbal extracts, essential oils, plus co-factor ingredients that help reduce hair loss and stimulate hair growth. This product contains
Centella asiatica, a perennial herb known for its many health benefits. Also known as Gotu Kola, this herb is traditionally used to treat skin damage and improve circulatory health. This herb is also widely-known for its ability to stimulate skin repair and strengthen hair and nails.

Novuhair Topical Scalp Lotion. |
There are different ways to use the
Topical Scalp Lotion.
1) Apply a liberal amount after using the Herbal Shampoo and Herbal Conditioner. Massage on your scalp for 5-10 minutes. Rinse.
2) Or you can choose not to rinse afterwards. Instead, you can just leave it on and style your hair as desired.
3) For best results, leave the product on your scalp overnight.

I do the second option, since it's more convenient that way. I don't want to spend the entire morning rinsing stuff out of my hair when I have so many things to do, especially now that my son has gone back to school.
|
Pump bottle. |
The
Topical Scalp Lotion has a very thin consistency, and looks a lot like Betadine. The olive green color tends to leave a stain, so you have to be extra careful when applying this, especially if you're wearing light-colored clothes. This product also has the same minty scent, which I reckon is the mildest of the three.
|
Looks a lot like Betadine. |
After using this product for three weeks, I've noticed a decrease in my hair fall-out and an improvement in the texture of my hair. I'll continue to use this product for the next couple of weeks and see if I can really grow out this pixie enough to sport a new 'do. Haha!
The
Novuhair® 3-in-1 Pack sells for
Php 4980, available at all Mercury Drug outlets and Watson's Personal Care Stores nationwide. It's a bit on the pricey side, but since these products work and are true to their claims, at least you know you're getting your money's worth.
I wish we had this trio BEFORE my husband lost all his hair. It sure could have been helpful!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the 3 in 1 for my hair. I am getting up there and age amd my hair is showing it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHair fall is the biggest hair problem.... finally a solution. Thanks for sharing this amazing product
ReplyDeleteI am going to tell my dad about this, his hair has really been thinning in recent years.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward for mine to arrive. i've been suffering from hair fall lately and based on your review, it'll probably help!:)
ReplyDeleteI heard that 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 shampoos are usually bad for your hair. So I'm a bit skeptical but not really sure my hubby would want to try this anyway. sounds like it is a good product though and from the ingredients, it seems quite safe.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I have a friend who has issues with her hair and I think this will solve that situation for her so she is not balding anymore. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThey look like great products. It's awesome that you see a change already.

Nice review girl. If I see this in supermarket, I won't be interested on this. I find the packaging too chemical-ish :)
ReplyDeleteI think I need esp that I have long hair and I am more prone to hair-fall.
my mom tried the topical scalp lotion.. and I may say that it kinda took long for us to see the effect. Maybe I should suggest to her that she should buy the shampoo and conditioner too.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a lot of hair fall back in high school when I was under great stress. This would have been great to use back then! I'll hold off on this though just because my hair has more than enough volume already. I actually wish it had less! Haha.
ReplyDeletemahal pero tingin ko sulit naman :D ill use this after i give birth super nipis na ng buhok ko haha!
ReplyDeleteI remembered back in 2011 when I suffered a major hair loss. This would've been so helpful back then :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, that's expensive pala! Nakakaloka yun consistency, it's kinda like water. I've never tried because my hair is so thick. XD
