Layering is a wonderful trend to sport during the winter, and it is a must at most offices. If you live in colder environments, it is hard to wear a dress to work without getting cold. For this reason, many women resort to basic fashion pieces to help them look professional and on trend during the colder months of the year. If you want to layer properly, here are three things that you need for your closet
1 - Collared Shirt
A thin collared shirt is ideal for layering. Make sure that this shirt fits well and that it is comfortable. It should not be too tight around your armpits, and the sleeves should be long enough. The standard collared shirt most women layer with is basic white. However, it is completely acceptable to layer with a color or a pattern.
2 - Sweater
During the winter, it is appropriate to wear a sweater over your collared shirts. Typically, these sweaters are thinner and bolder in color. Look for ones with a cute collar so that they are more interesting
3 - Blazer
The final layering piece in your winter wardrobe will be a blazer. This is usually the thickest part of your outfit, and you should be able to take it on and off throughout the day.
Don’t be afraid to invest in multiple collared shirts, sweaters, and blazers. This will allow you to mix and match for limitless office outfits.
