Whenever my Mum is home for her now bi-annual vacation
(because it's her second time to fly home this year), we make it a point to spend a weekend at the beach. Because swimming is our favorite family activity, and beach trips are just awesome. :)
A few weeks back, we spent a weekend at
Playa Laiya, an exclusive, '
members only' beach park located in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. Developed by Landco Pacific Corporation, this seaside '
residential community' boasts of an extensive beach front and pristine white sand.

More of Playa Laiya after the jump! :)
The resort also has several features and amenities including a clubhouse, a spacious pool deck, and the infinity pool that gives a great view of the sea. Members (aka property owners) get to enjoy these amenities for just Php 100 per person. For endorsed guests (aka invited by members), rates are Php 350 for off-peak season, and Php 400 for peak season.

How can you not fall in love with this place? |
|
The spacious pool deck. |
Strewn across the resort are cabanas that allow easy access to the beach and club pools. The cabanas are spacious enough for a big group, and come with lounging facilities for couples or families to enjoy. Cabana rates start at
Php 3000 for day trips, and
Php 6000 for overnight usage.

Little man lounging at the cabana. |
Guests are welcome to bring their own food
(which we did), and they can also cook in the grill pads provided in each cabana. They can also opt to order food from their in-house restaurant
(which we also did),
The Sands Grill and Cafe, and have it delivered to the cabana.

The Pancit Bihon from their restaurant was a bit pricey, but really good. |
|
Their Bagnet was just as yummy, too. |
|
The Nachos and Fries were so-so, but my son loved it. |

Another great idea to do with the whole family is skating, check out some great resources at SkatesHQ.
