But first, a photo op with the BTS Gangnamdol at K-Star Road. We didn't take pictures with this bear when we first visited Apgujeong Rodeo two years ago, mostly because I did not have much interest with the group back in 2016.
Finally, a photo op with the BTS Gangnamdol! |
Oh the places we will go...
More of our Gangnam adventure after the jump! :)
From the K-Star Road, we walked for about five minutes or so to get to the Hanyang Apartment bus stop. We did not have much difficulty finding this particular bus stop since it's located right across the Galleria Department Store, one of the most popular landmarks in the ritzy side of Seoul.
From here, we rode the Green 145 bus all the way to Cine City, which was just two stops away. And then from the Cine City stop, we walked around for a bit, stopped at the nearest Starbucks for free wifi to check Google Maps if I'm on the right track, walked a bit more, until we found this building tucked in one of the alleys in the area. Namoo Actors, finally!!!
Yue was flabbergasted that we went through all sorts of hardships just to find this building, but he posed for photos anyway, lol. Had we bumped into Lee Joon Gi as we loitered by the main entrance, it would have been an even more amazing experience. But this will do for now.

We finally found what we were looking for - the Namoo Actors building! |
With our mission finally completed and with no other plans for the rest of the day, Yue and I moved on to our next destination - Dosan Park. According to Google Maps, the park is just a five-minute walk from the Cine City stop. And so we retraced our route and walked back to where we came from. Along the way, we came across YG KPlus, a model management company and a subsidiary of YG Entertainment.

Dosan Park, finally! |
At the east end of the park stands a bronze statue of Dosan Ahn Chang Ho. His tomb, together with his wife's, are also located inside the park.

This makeup class is right up my alley, and I'm considering joining one on our next Seoul Searching trip. If you're coming to Seoul anytime soon and would like to take this class too, let me know! Let's go to the Hera Makeup Academy together! :)

Looks like a great time!! I am not much of a traveler, but I love reading about other places. These pictures are great also!
The pictures you have taken is really great and I must say your description is exactly accurate and to the point as I have been there and I know how it is.
such a sweet little boy! i'd like to go to korea too one day :) have a great week!
You've visited so many places. I'm so envious of your trip. Hera Makeup Academy must be the place I want to visit the most!
Sounds like a fun trip! Love the detailed journey descriptions and facts!
These pictures are super cute. I have heard so many good things about Seoul.
I always watch Korean dramas and hear so much of Gagnam. It looks so fun in movies. I will definitely visit once day and this post made me want to visit more.
How cool is this. He looks like he enjoyed it every step of the way. Great pictures.
What a fun and great experience. Looks like your son really enjoyed your trip to Gangnam. And OH! YG!!! I am a fan. From 2NE1 to BIGBANG and now IKON, WINNER and BLACKPINK!
It sounds like you had quite the adventure finding your way around to all the destinations you wanted to see! But you did it! Did you get some fun family photos together while you were site seeing?
What an adventure! I love the title of your post as well!
I seldom went to Gangnam when I lived in Seoul. My one big adventure was finding a L'Occitane store to use a gift certificate. That took me all day! It looks like you and your son had a great day out.
Looks like such an amazing trip. It’s so awesome to be able to fit in some many activities in one trip too. Looks like her son had a blast!!
I haven't been to Korea but I plan to visit one day and when my kids are a bit bigger. Mahirap to go around with little kids in tow. Oh, and the little boy looked like he enjoyed the trip :)
Such a sweet smiling face ng son mo :-) I envy your adventures.
Looks like you had a blast with this trip!. Dami nyung napuntahan eh. Buhay na buhay ang Kdrama/pop fan inside mo po siguro.
It's so good that your Yue is so game in the adventure! :) I am so ignorant in Kpop and kdrama that I don't even know what BTS is! Haha!
I used to travel a lot but now with two toddlers, I prefer to sleep than walk or travel. But yours was such a great experience. I wish to visit Seoul, too, but with my family.
Aaaww.. My daughter has been bugging me for a Korean vacay since love nya ang Momoland. Hahaha! Bookmarking this.
Wow! This is a haven for KPop fans hahaha. I'm not one but Seoul (and SoKor) is high on our bucketlist as a family. Gusto na nga ng daughter ko pumunta kami eh. Soon!!!
I would love to visit Seoul, too, in the future! I'm also a silent BTS fan ever since my 4-year old son got hooked to dancing to their songs :p
I always wondered what kids can do in Korea :)
